Every fall, Tri-Star is the signature sponsor of the Boys & Girls Club Golf Outing at Apple Mountain. Along with this sponsorship, several Tri-Star employees volunteer at this event. Senior Vice President, Jane Hagen, serves at the chair of this event. Along with this event, Tri-Star also supports this organization in a number of other ways.
Every September Tri-Star annually sponsors the Pulse3 Foundation and Saginaw YMCA’s Run for Your Heart. With the proceeds raised, a variety of heart-healthy causes are being supported. The race includes a choice of 10k or 5k run and a 5k walk, followed by a 1-mile Tot Trot for kids 12 and under. Participants were also able to enjoy a new course through Hoyt Park and “run with the animals” in the nationally accredited Children’s Zoo at Celebration Square.
Tri-Star is a proud annual sponsor of Chefs for Shelterhouse held in April each year. This annual event raises funds that help provide programs and services for twelve months for Shelterhouse, which works to build healthy relationships, strong families and safe communities.
Tri-Star is proud to support Volunteers of America Michigan, an organization dedicated to helping those in need rebuild their lives and reach their full potential. Specifically, Tri-Star sponsors the Homeless No More reception in East Lansing, the biggest fundraiser of the year.
Covenant Kids Telethon
Tri-Star is a proud sustaining sponsor of the Covenant Kids Telethon at the Mid-Michigan Children’s Museum (MMCM) held annually every April. The telethon includes TV5 personalities interviewing kids and families who have benefited from the Foundation. All proceeds from this event go directly to enhance the care for Covenant Kids and their families through ongoing philanthropic activities.
CAN Council Great Lakes Bay Region
Tri-Star is a proud partner of the CAN Council of the Great Lakes Bay Region, whose mission is to build communities where children are free from abuse and neglect. Annually the CAN Council hosts its annual Mardi Gras auction to raise money to assist it in its mission. Tri-Star has been a proud sponsor of this event as well as the organization at large for many years.
Tri-Star has been a supporter of the Sparrow Foundation for a number of years, participating in events such as the Sparrow Gala, Health Classic Golf Outing, Spartan Marching Band for Kids Concert and Sparrow Guild Charity Ball among others. In 2014, we were recognized in Sparrow’s philanthropist league at the Altruist Level, awarded to those with a giving history of $50,000 – $99,999.
Tri-Star proudly supports the Frankenmuth Community Foundation, specifically assisting with its annual Legacy Ball as a major sponsor. This gala evening raises funds that go to the Foundation to enable it to continue supporting projects and programs that enhance the quality of life in the greater Frankenmuth area.
Lions, and tigers and bears…oh my! Tri-Star has been a proud supporter of the Children’s Zoo at Celebration Square in Saginaw for many years; in 2016, we will continue to serve as a business partner and sponsor of the Brew at the Zoo fundraising event.
Tri-Star is an annual sponsor of the Mid-Michigan Children’s Museums Arts from the Heart event in February. The event includes a silent auction, raffle and carnival games. Arts from the Heart is the annual major fundraising event for the Mid-Michigan Children’s Museum and benefits the children of the Great Lakes Bay Region.
From dasher boards to table sponsors, from adopting schools in the Great Lakes Bay Region, Tri-Star Trust Bank has been a mainstay of support for the Saginaw Spirit hockey team. Also, each year Tri-Star sponsors a Spirit Hockey Ticket Give-Away program for area grade school students. The MATRIX Midland Festival brings a wide variety of entertainment to the Great Lakes Bay Region every July. Tri-Star has been a proud sponsor of the festival for many years and has enjoyed helping bring in entertainment to the area such as Audra McDonald, Idina Menzel, ChefSteps and much more!
Tri-Star has been a proud sponsor of the Saginaw Bay Symphony Orchestra for many years. For the 2016-2017 season, we are proud to again partner with the symphony to bring this excellent entertainment to the area. This year we are proud to present the final concert of the series.
Dow Corning Tennis Classic
Tri-Star is a proud sponsor of the Dow Tennis Classic held annually in February at the Midland Tennis Center. This event features rising starts in the sport and is a top stop in a 90-city tour. It is also the longest running tournament on the USTA Circuit. The Classic has a special day for kids and several opportunities to meet the players.
Tri-Star is an annual sponsor of the State Theatre in Bay City, MI featuring top performers such as Brush Street with Brass and Strings featuring Julie Mulday, and Elvis tribute artist Jake Slater, as well as Peter Tork of the Monkees.
Tri-Star has been a sponsor of the Temple Theatre for many years, supporting both its foundation and various concert series. During the 2016- 2017 season we will serve as an Event Partner for the Taj Express event on March 17th.
Tri-Star is an annual sponsor of the Frankenmuth Autofest in September. Every year over 2,000 classic cars line the streets of Frankenmuth for a three day festival, with each day jam packed with fun entertainment for the whole family. And Tri-Star is right in the mix at our location right on Main Street. We get to enjoy all the classic cars and great entertainment right along with visitors.
