Lance Tenwalde is an experienced retirement planning associate with a demonstrated history of working in the banking industry. He is skilled in qualified plans, SIMPLE IRA, self-management, project management, data analysis, and Relius administration. Lance is a strong finance professional with 7+ years’ experience specific to retirement planning. Not only has he completed the Retirement Plans Fundamentals of ASPPA, but he has also completed the Pension Educator Series of FIS Relius. Lance acquired his Associate in Applied Science in Graphic Design from Mid-Michigan Community College. He is a Chemical Bank Cares Day volunteer on various projects (the City of Beaverton, Maxwell’s Pumpkin Farm, Gladwin Zettel Memorial Airport, MDOT Adopt-a-Highway, and Midland Santa Parade), and was a team leader for Relay for Life.
What are your specific goals for Tri-Star Trust clients?
Providing retirement plan participants with useful knowledge for saving and investing for retirement. Each participant has a specific financial situation, and I love learning more about their story and working with them so they can achieve financial freedom in their golden years.

What are your top three bucket list items?
- Obtaining my pilot’s license and owning a small aircraft
- Renting a large houseboat on a body of water with family and friends
- Achieving the Super Slam of North American Big Game
